Last nite Mr Hangar bared his soul and shared his vision for Penna., IF he were to win the election. What he said with respect to Fracking for Gas in the state and esp. in Our threatened State Forests was a disappointment.

The choice of wording , when dissected, leads me to believe he was dissembling and attempting to disarm the environmental and cultural concerns of his audience. Bottom line is that he promised there would be a moratorium on "Leasing" in the State Forest. This is NOT a Moratorium on the ongoing gradual destruction already "Permitted" by the current admin.! This will save little if ANY of these lands as the Leases have already been allowed to be signed over with the Blessing and assistance of the Corbett GOP "Leaders" in Harrisburg who have effectively given away the last natural retreats such as the Loyalsock , Moshannon, and Tiaghdaghton Forests.

This in not my idea of Protecting anything except the industry that will pollute, violate regulations, and leave us with the complete destruction of these sensitive Ecosystems. Mr Hangar does not earn a Vote of confidence (or Any other Vote) from me!Dean Marshallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10176644103588675671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4310688220537485900.post-21145929063295559302013-09-09T23:30:56.559-04:002013-09-09T23:30:56.559-04:00While arranging this meeting with John Hanger, I w...While arranging this meeting with John Hanger, I was sincerely hoping he would be more open to listening to the legitimate concerns of the people who attended, and at the very least be more open minded. He wasn't. I would normally be rambling on with my opinion of this meeting, but Kevin Heatley and Wendy Lynn Lee did such a superb job, there is no need for me to comment, other than to say that I share Kevin's and Wendy's sentiments.
